In conjunction with "World Teachers' Day" on the 5th of October, 2002, Sarawak Teachers' Union, Kuching Branch Committee members visited the Salvation Army Boys' Home at Jln Ban Hock, Kuching to hand over the donations collected from the members of the Union. They also collaborated with Maison Monica Salon De Beaute to give the boys from the home free hair-cut on that day.

The donations amounting RM3,738.40 were collected from the members in about 73 schools/offices. Out of these schools, the followings top the list, they are S.K. KENYALANG ($157), SJK CHUNG HUA BATU 4 1/2 ($155) and SMK SIBURAN ($132). We congratulate all the school reps. and members who had donated especially the three schools which had donated the most. Syabas!!
